The Charlotte Civic Orchestra is a not-for\u2013profit organization, and gratefully accepts donations from private donors and corporations alike.
\nOur funding is received from a variety of sources, including project grants from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Arts & Science Council, and corporate grants and donations from corporations such as Target, Duke Energy and Microsoft Corporation. Our ticket revenues are key income source, and fundraiser events and contracted concerts as well. Private donors and smaller business owners contribute donations. We need your help!
\nOver the past twenty-one years, the Charlotte Civic Orchestra has evolved from a small group of musicians who played for their own enjoyment into a seventy-member volunteer orchestra comprised of musicians, teachers, and other professionals who are intent on keeping orchestral music relevant to our community. We believe that orchestral music is a gift to be shared across generations and cultures, and makes for a richer and more connected community.
\nThe CCO reaches out to the community and share the universal gift of music with our low price ticketed events, in a financially prudent approach. We balance our budget each year to make a little bit go a long way.
