Is Pluto a planet?

The International Astronomical Union  in 2006 declared Pluto a “Dwarf Planet” after being spurred on by the eminent American Astrological physicist Neil de Grasse Tyson.   However, there are quite a number of people who object to this classification and support Pluto’s status as an official planet.  Neil de Grasse Tyson thinks that the overwhelming interest in Pluto is due to the cartoon character of the same name.

Come hear our interpretation of Pluto as we perform a new composition by local composer Ronald Parks at our upcoming Planets concert! Click >> here << for more info
